One Caring Human had the privilege of attending the First Nations Health Foundation’s inaugural Together in Healing Gala on June 5th, 2025.

We met amazing folks who gathered to make a difference in the lives of the Indigenous community. While we couldn't meet all 400 guests, those we connected with lifted our spirits and demonstrated their commitment to uplifting others.

“This gala (was) a memorable night where we celebrate our shared commitment to the health and wellness of First Nations people in BC. It's an opportunity to honour our communities, our partners, and the transformative work that will lead to health equity for First Nations in BC," said Nathania Fung, Executive Director, FNHF.

We were warmly welcomed by the organization and guests alike, and the atmosphere shared a sense of community that was intentionally and beautifully cultivated.

We were able to take part in the exquisitely curated family style dinner, where we served each other at round tables. The courses showcased Indigenous ingredients and cooking styles. The ambiance of the space highlighted local artists and deeply respected traditions. These that filled our hearts with reverence and shared a spirit that felt like home.

Our registered massage therapists offered chair massage to attendees before and after the dinner, and were grateful to connect with so many who shared their stories and hearts with us.

We look forward to our continued collaboration with First Nations Health Foundation in offering kind touch and community spirit, together.
